Save the Date

What could possibly be in that matte white gift bag? If you haven't guessed already by the title, they're our newly printed Save the Dates!! And I am completely in love with them.
I'm a stubborn type of person, there is no question about that. And although there are times when it get's be into trouble in the story I'm about to tell you all, it actually came in handy. I had a vision of what I wanted my save the dates to look like for quite a while. Letterpress, custom plates, white ink on chipboard postcards. When I emailed the printer my design she immediately cautioned me on using white ink, and said that she highly suggested that I choose a different color. I was adamant about how I preferred white & and accounted for it being slightly faded. She agreed to do a test print for me, but urged me to consider different colors while we waited for the plaits to come in... A few days alter I received this message.

Deanna - I have done a press check run in white. I am surprised but I think it is very cool... let me know what you think -I would like to run the first side today. I can get these finished up on Friday. Call me.

The message came with a picture of the cards. And needles to say I was ecstatic about the result. Here are a few pictures of my own.
Overall I am so completely elated about how the cards turned out. They're exactly as I imagined them and that's a little bit of magic all on it's own. And cannot wait to start addressing these bad boys and sending them out. Now it's time to design the actual invitations!

Peace.
